Vara Lyons Joins CSB

Cosmich Simmons & Brown is pleased to announce that Vara Lyons has joined the firm as an associate in the firm’s Jackson, Mississippi office. Vara brings over eight years of litigation and advocacy experience to the firm. Vara previously served as a Brooklyn Assistant District Attorney and litigated sexual abuse cases in private practice. Most recently, Vara was policy counsel for the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Mississippi, where she represented various plaintiffs in a redistricting matter and advocated for progressive legislation. The addition of Vara greatly enhances the Firm’s capabilities in the State of New York as Vara is a member of the New York State Bar. Vara’s admission to the Mississippi State Bar is pending.
