Cosmich Simmons & Brown Opens St. Louis Office

Cosmich Simmons & Brown, PLLC announced on April 1 that it has opened a new office in St. Louis, focusing initially on growing its mass and toxic tort, insurance litigation, general and commercial litigation, employment litigation, corporate investigation services, and local counsel services. The Firm recently expanded its offices in Arizona and Michigan with added practices in Legal Service-Legal Process Outsourcing (“L-LPO”), eDiscovery managed review and sports and entertainment law.
The firm’s existing clients, and other related opportunities, led to the decision to expand the Firm’s presence to St Louis.
“Strong client relationships and our commitment to providing the highest quality service are driving the Firm’s growth,” Rich Brown, CS&B Partner, stated in the announcement. “Our expansion strategy is driven by what is in the best interest of our clients, who have shown overwhelming support in our establishing a St Louis presence. Our experience and reputation will allow us to capitalize on additional opportunities in a vibrant market.”
Among the St. Louis office attorneys will be Tom Orris, who recently joined the Firm as a partner. Tom’s practice is concentrated on defense of personal injury lawsuits and mass and toxic torts, servicing major oil companies and manufacturing clients across the country. “We are excited about growing our national reputation by having Tom Orris join our Firm, and we look forward to adding depth and synergies to our national defense practice and suite of Firm offerings,” said Brown.
Matthew Pelikan was also named a partner in CS&B’s St. Louis office. “Matthew has a proven record of success in both Missouri and Illinois Courts,” said Brown. “In addition, Matthew will be particularly effective at expanding our Firm’s St. Louis client base, and I have every confidence that he will continue his track record of success after joining CS&B.”
Also joining the Firm is Ross Titzer, a partner in CS&B’s St. Louis office. Ross has spent his career in the Missouri and Illinois courts defending toxic tort and personal injury claims. “The vast experience that Ross has working with claims managers, in-house counsel and business owners will allow CS&B to continue its focus on client service” said Brown.
Tom, Matt and Ross bring with them two dozen highly trained and experienced team members with a specialty in handling toxic tort litigation.
