Overview
Lance Wilson is an experienced trial lawyer who defends companies against product liability, premises, and negligence claims. Lance represents companies in many different industries, including aviation, construction, welding, and power generation. He also defends building contractors and property owners in construction and premises-related claims.
Lance serves as national coordinating counsel for several of his clients. In this role, he coordinates their defense in cases across the nation. As many of Lance’s clients are manufacturers and suppliers of products and equipment under contract to the U.S. military, he handles in both state and federal courts.
Lance has 25 years of experience defending clients in products claims that involve environmental litigation and toxic tort litigation. Lance is known for his technical acumen and ability to develop a deep understanding of the product at issue including its component parts, manufacturing processes, and all practical applications. His experience and knowledge of medicine, science, and engineering enable him to build a strong defense against allegations that a product contributed to an injury including lack of causation and alternate causes of the injury. Lance has been particularly effective at identifying and working with experts who are leaders in various fields of medical science, engineering, industrial hygiene, and many other disciplines in defending his clients and their products.
For the first several years of his law practice, Lance was a criminal prosecutor for the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s office in California.
