Overview
Roger brings deep experience in professional liability, insurance defense, product liability, personal injury, oil & gas litigation, trucking litigation, and toxic tort matters. He served as Texas co-counsel for one of the largest pharmacy chains in the United States in pharmaceutical malpractice and premises liability litigation. For much of his career, Roger represented North America’s largest Class 1 railroad as lead Texas counsel in asbestos and silica litigation, working closely with national counsel to develop and execute defense strategies. Additionally, he assisted numerous major corporations in defending asbestos and toxic tort matters throughout Texas and other emerging jurisdictions.

Experience
Prior to attending law school, Roger worked in safety and security roles in academic setting. This included interfacing with administrators, employees, and contractors in asbestos remediation and other environmental issues. After returning to Houston to attend UH, he clerked and then worked as an associate for a firm specializing in asbestos litigation before beginning to represent railroads in FELA litigation involving various alleged occupational exposures.
Starting in 2006, Roger expanded his practice further into general litigation, including professional liability, premises liability, and consumer litigation for a national self-insured retail chain. Starting in 2011 Roger’s practice expanded to a broader insurance defense litigation for various carriers, adding commercial, environmental, construction defects, construction and oilfield injuries and commercial vehicle accident litigation to the types of matters he handles.
