Biography
Cosmich Simmons & Brown is pleased to announce that Vara Lyons has joined the firm as an associate in the firm's Jackson, Mississippi office. Vara brings over 8 years of litigation and advocacy experience with her. Vara previously served as a Brooklyn Assistant District Attorney and litigated sexual abuse cases in private practice. Most recently, Vara was the ACLU of Mississippi's policy counsel, where she represented various plaintiffs in a redistricting matter and advocated for progressive legislation. The addition of Vara greatly enhances the Firm's capabilities in the State of New York as Vara is a member of the New York State Bar. She is pending admission in Mississippi.
